2014 Special Olympics Washington Polar Plunges Presented by QFC and Fred Meyer

Take a dip in the ice waters across Washington State and be a part of the “coolest” event of the year! Join the fun, help raise funds and win prizes all in support of Special Olympics Washington.
Special Olympics Polar Plunge Series is a fundraising effort organized by law enforcement agencies across the state to benefit Special Olympics Washington. This unique opportunity gives individuals, organizations and businesses the chance to support Special Olympics Washington by collecting pledges for the “opportunity” to plunge into frigid water across Washington State.

Each individual must raise a minimum of $50 or $75 to participate depending on your Plunge location. Each individual that raises the minimum donation will receive an official Polar Plunge t-shirt, lunch and entry to the post-event party. Collect pledges from family, friends and colleagues and win prizes. Individuals and teams may register online and create a fundraising page.
All proceeds collected by Plungers benefit Special Olympics Washington and the 10,000 athletes across the state.

the Polar Plunge, the “Cool Schools” Challenges gives students grade school
through college the opportunity to participate in a fun group activity
while supporting more than 10,000 Special Olympics athletes in Washington

Too chicken to plunge? Cheer from the sidelines in the Special Olympics Washington “Chicken Coop”. “Chicken Coop” participants can still raise money for Special Olympics Washington, win prizes and make a difference in the lives of local athletes…all while staying warm and dry!
