Planned Giving
Create your legacy by planning for the future...Make a gift that costs nothing during your lifetime. Learn More

Year after year, our mission depends on caring friends like you to help us reach more people with intellectual disabilities and deliver life–changing sports training and competitions. There's another way you can help our deserving athletes and families...by considering a bequest to Special Olympics through your will.

Our athletes and families often tell us they don't know what they would do without Special Olympics. So we plan for the future. We consider how many contributions we will receive each year and we use those gifts carefully to fulfill our promise to our athletes.

But we can really look into the future when we know that caring friends have set aside an estate gift to Special Olympics in their will. Once your wishes are known, there are other advantages too. You continue to hold onto your assets for your lifetime and can change your will at any time should circumstances change. And from a tax perspective, your estate may be entitled to an unlimited estate tax charitable deduction for bequests to qualified organizations like Special Olympics.

We're here to help you in any way. Call us toll-free at 866-690-3951 or email at cgrandmason@specialolympics.org. Thank you so very much for making the dreams of our athletes and their families come true.

Memorial Donation

Gifts celebrate the life and memory of someone recently deceased.  Generally, it is in lieu of sending flowers to the funeral, and often at the request of the family. Memorial gifts can also recognize the anniversary of the death of a loved one, allowing others to know that they are in your thoughts during a difficult time.

Recognition Gifts range from the celebration of birthdays, wedding anniversaries, religious holiday gifts, special “life” events, and even the births of children.

Contributors will receive a thank you and tax receipt, while recipients are sent a letter notifying them of your special memorial or recognition.
